# Follow-up email scripts for stalled onboarding

Three messages, in order. Specific beats polite-but-vague every time.
Replace the [brackets], keep the tone.

## 1. The 48-hour nudge (friendly, specific, one click)

Subject: 3 things left for [Project name]

Hi [Name],

Quick one — we're set to start on [date], and there are three things still
open on your onboarding:

- [Item 1, e.g. the signed agreement]
- [Item 2, e.g. logo files]
- [Item 3, e.g. Google Analytics access]

Everything's in one place here: [link]. Takes about [10] minutes.

Anything unclear in there, just reply — happy to walk you through it.

[Your name]

## 2. The 96-hour nudge (deadline becomes real)

Subject: Holding your start date — [date]

Hi [Name],

Still missing [the two items] from your onboarding link: [link].

One thing to flag: our kickoff on [date] works as long as I have these by
[day]. If they land later, the timeline shifts with them — no problem, just
want it to be a decision rather than a surprise.

If you're stuck on any of it (the [access request] trips a lot of people
up), reply and I'll help.

[Your name]

## 3. The switch-to-a-call (after two automated nudges, stop nudging)

Subject: Quick call this week?

Hi [Name],

I've noticed the onboarding's been sitting — which usually means one of the
questions is unclear, something's hard to find, or priorities moved on your
end. All completely normal, and all faster to sort out live.

Do you have 10 minutes [Tuesday or Wednesday]? I can fill in most of it with
you on the call.

[Your name]

## The rules behind the scripts

- Name the exact missing items; "just checking in" gets ignored.
- One link, every time. Never make them search their inbox.
- Two automated nudges max — after that, something else is going on, and
  that's a conversation, not a notification.
